Head south from the square in front of the tourist board office in Tar (towards the Poreč-Novigrad road) and ride towards Vabriga, a village known for its world-class shellfish. Continue along the road that turns right by the mobile home parking lot. Cross the main road carefully, and turn right onto the small asphalt path just before the campsite reception desk. You'll come to the first single-track climb, at the top of which you will find a macadam road and beautiful Istrian natural surroundings. The route will then switch intermittently between asphalt and macadam as it leads you across the woods directly to the coast. Near the end of the woods, turn off the asphalt road and follow the macadam road along the coast to Červar-Porat. From here, you can join any of the many other routes running through the Poreč area and extend your ride if you like. If you're tired and want to head towards the finish line, turn onto the macadam forest trail beside the small pier in Sveta Marina bay, cross the main road after the climb, and you'll find yourself back in Tar.

  • Marked roads will quickly lead you to Poreč, an Istrian gem that will thrill you with its numerous events, natural and cultural heritage, and its gourmet food.
  • If you want to extend your ride, you can also head towards Novigrad. In this small fishing town, you can visit a unique museum, enjoy the beautiful view from the top of the bell tower, and find refreshment in seaside restaurants and cafés.
  • Can't resist the clean, turquoise sea? Take the opportunity and dive into the crystal clear sea, and before you move on, dry off on the beach of your choice – you can choose from among the nearby sandy, pebble, paved or rocky beaches. To each his own.
