The Istarski razvod route leads you past mediaeval Istrian monuments from Labin to Kršan. Start in the old town of Labin, located on a hill at 320m above sea level. From Labin, head through Vinež towards Golji and Sveti Martin. The village of Sveti Martin grew around what was once the noble estate of the Battiala-Lazzarini family, in whose courtyard you can today rest and take in the healing scent of pine forest. If you continue on via the village of Martinski, you will reach Šumber, where you will find the ruins of a 17th century feudal castle. Ride on through Potpićan to Kršan, which features one of the best-kept fortresses in all of Istria. Remember this place well! It was here, among the high walls of the fortress, that the important mediaeval document this route was named after (En: The Istrian Book of Boundaries) was discovered in 1850. The route then leads you towards Nedešćina and the industrial zone, and then back to Labin.
